Them RiverSoft Daze

Something that has been on this site, in this section, but never linked
to before: The one and only Enterprise
Services Offsite meeting. Blackmail pictures included. I guess the
time is right for this to be exposed to the outside world. |
 |
The Networld+InterOp
trade show is one of the premier general IT trade shows in the US. It
happens twice a year. In the spring in Las Vegas, and in the fall in Atlanta.
This was N+I Atlanta 1999, my first trade show as an "Exhibitor". |
 |
Enterprise Services did a Beta Project
kick-off meeting with the beta customers in Leicestershire (sp?). At
left, is the only picture of this I took. We were going to have a wrap-up
meeting at the Ice Hotel the following Feb., and the ice carvings where
a demonstration of what we would get. Finally, we have Jon and ET drawing
each other's countries. Notice how the UK looks like a moose. |
 |
Assorted pictures that I just have kicking around. I didn't take all of
them, but what the hell, I have them in the library. Unlike most of the
others, most of these are not actually taken at official RiverSoft events,
but include Softees. Descriptions included within... |
The following galleries, are all RiverSoft pictures I didn't take. Most of
these were up on The Brain (RiverSoft's intranet site) for a while. They were
eventually taken down because they weren't current.
My thanks to Mitch Read, the riv_webmaster, for forwarding these to me, and
to Ken Vanderweel for connecting me with Mitch.

Mike Southon took Polaroids of everyone that joined RiverSoft, way back
in the early days. These are the pictures that are left. The first
41 employees are captured on "film", in bad light, and completely
unprepared to be immortalized forever. I, personally, wouldn't have had
it any other way. |
 |
I suspect that these pictures are a Holiday
party in San Francisco. I know these are SF softees. These pictures
where on the brain for a while. I didn't take these, so I can't be sure. |
 |
RiverSoft held two developer's meeting in Chamonix. A place isolated in
the mountains of France. Given these pictures, I have no idea how any of
these people got any work done. I would have been enraptured by the view. |
 |
RiverSoft was 5 years old, February 14th, 2002, having been formed 5 years
earlier on St. Valentine's day. A birthday
bash was held in the Software Factory. |
 |
The 2001 holiday party in London. A black tie affair. I missed this one
by a day. I forget exactly why, or it was even for a good reason. But A
Good Time was had by all. |
 |
I'm not sure what this is pictures of, but it sure looks like a RiverSoft
party. Maybe one of the other holiday parties, or maybe the San Francisco
office opening party. Can anyone help identify this for me? |
 |
ET and Sean joined and went to London for their training shortly after.
Because they went over in July, not April like me and Ray, they went to
one of the many Coda Centre BBQ
parties. |

Well, our fearless leader was in Denver one time when I was there. So
were a bunch of other people, higher-ups and otherwise. The key being that
it was Phil's birthday. I'd been at the hotel long enough to be friendly
and well known to the entire hotel staff, so I used my contacts to find
a way into Phil's room before he checked in and "leave an amenity". |
